I’m so glad you’ve found your way here.
This space has been a long time in the making. For years, I’ve been wandering through British woodlands and wetlands, camera in hand, quietly observing the wildlife around me. Somewhere along the way, those walks turned into something more – a need to capture not just photographs, but feelings, moments, and the little details that make the natural world so endlessly fascinating.
That’s how this blog was born.
Here, you’ll find a mix of things that reflect what I love most: birds (all of them!), sketches and paintings inspired by my encounters, and the occasional deep dive into the behaviours and quirks that make wildlife so captivating. I’ve always been especially drawn to birds – their personalities, their patterns, and the way even the most common species can surprise you if you take the time to really look.
More recently, I’ve also started paying closer attention to the plant life around me – wildflowers, trees, and the subtle seasonal changes that shape the landscapes I walk through. You’ll probably start to see more of that here too.
This isn’t a scientific journal, and it’s not meant to be. Think of it more as a gentle exploration of nature through my eyes – part storytelling, part creativity, and part curiosity. Some posts might be light and observational, others a little more detailed, but all of them come from a genuine love of the natural world.
If you enjoy slow moments, small discoveries, and the kind of beauty that doesn’t shout for attention, I think you’ll feel at home here.
Thank you for being here – truly.
